High Cross Field Archers' woods on Manor Farm
Near Chedworth, Cirencester
The woods are close to Chedworth Roman Villa.
The beautiful deer-forest site is traditional English Hazel and Ash mature standing trees with old coppicing. There is some adjoining maturing coniferous planting.
There's a short walk through the wood from the new parking area to the muster site and we can find spaces for a few cars closer by for those that need them.
As you can see from the pics, this is a beautiful piece of woodland where the sun always shines!? :o)
Meanwhile, here's a few more images to give you the gist...
A hot day at the new practice butts - Nikki and Gus get stuck in!
No Animals Were Harmed in the Making of this Website
NFAS Field Archer Club pit their wits, bows and arrows against various types of target: photographs, painted hessians and 3D models of animals. We do not condone the hunting of animals with bow and arrow, which is illegal in the UK. And while bacon butties are the standard fayre of NFAS field archers, some of us are even vegetarians...
High Cross Field Archers - The Fastest Growing NFAS Field Archery Club in the Cotswolds... It may just look like we're having fun in the woods, but National Field Archery Society field archery is the most challenging style there is. If you enjoy any style of archery from field to target GNAS, FITA, IFAA , we're sure you'll love shooting arrows at High Cross Field Archery Club in the Cotswolds. We have members from Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and more.
